Bachelor in Electrical and Electronics Engineering | Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University

The Electrical and Electronics Engineering major at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) is housed under the Faculty of Power Engineering, focusing on preparing specialists for the energy, oil, and industrial sectors. This program integrates principles of electrical engineering, electronics, power systems, and related technologies, emphasizing the design, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems, power generation, transmission, and electronic devices. Students learn to address challenges in energy efficiency, renewable sources, automation, and industrial applications, aligning with Azerbaijan's prominent role in the oil and gas industry.

The bachelor's program spans four years, leading to a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering upon completion of 240 ECTS credits. It provides a strong foundation in core sciences and engineering, with curriculum divided into semesters covering topics such as mathematics, physics, computer technology, programming, power electronics, electric drives, signals and systems, and fundamentals of electrical engineering. Advanced courses include energy management, electrical machines, and industrial applications, with hands-on training through labs, projects, and internships. The program develops skills in problem-solving, system design, teamwork, and ethical practices, incorporating practical internships with over 20 industry partners for third- and fourth-year students.

Graduates are equipped for careers in power generation, electrical systems design, electronics manufacturing, oil and gas operations, renewable energy projects, and research institutions. With over 1,000 specialists trained historically, alumni often secure roles in leading companies like SOCAR, contributing to sustainable development and innovation in Azerbaijan's energy sector.
