📚 Is AMU Azerbaijan Recognized by DHA, DOH & MOH UAE? 2026
A Step-by-Step Roadmap to UAE Medical Licensure: DataFlow, Prometric Exams, and the 2026 Fast-Track Initiative for International Graduates

Introduction:
Short answer: Yes.
AMU holds IAAR accreditation (WFME-recognized) and is listed in WHO WDOMS — the two baseline requirements for DHA, DOH, and MOHAP. But 'recognized' does not mean 'automatic license.' Every international graduate follows the same pathway: DataFlow + 12-month internship + Prometric exam.
| AMU: IAAR+WFME+WHO — DHA · DOH · MOHAP | DataFlow: AED 1,235 · 25–60 working days |
| Prometric DHA: 150 MCQ · 165 min · 60% pass | Total licensing cost: ~AED 6,235–6,535 |
UAE is not one licensing authority — it is three. You only need the license for the emirate where you plan to work. Most Indian and Pakistani students target DHA Dubai — the largest medical market in the UAE.
| Authority | Covers | Exam | License Validity |
| DHA — Dubai Health Authority | Dubai only | Prometric DHA | 1 year (annual renewal) |
| DOH — Dept of Health Abu Dhabi | Abu Dhabi + Al Ain + Al Gharbia | Prometric DOH | 2 years |
| MOHAP — Ministry of Health | Sharjah · Ajman · RAK · Fujairah · UAQ | MOHAP/USMLE/PLAB | Varies |
This process applies to every international medical graduate — regardless of where they studied.
Required for all international graduates.
Best option: Azerbaijan Medical University affiliated hospitals in Baku are fully documented and directly accepted by DataFlow.
Alternative: Accredited government hospitals in your home country (e.g., NMC/PMDC hospitals).
Documentation: Must be formally documented with an official hospital letterhead and signed by the Medical Director.
This is a mandatory audit to verify your medical documents directly with Azerbaijan Medical University and relevant medical councils.
| DataFlow Detail | Information |
| What it does | Primary source verification of your medical documents |
| Verifies | Degree + internship certificate + Professional License |
| Cost | Approximately AED 1,235 for Physicians |
| Timeline | 25–60 working days |
| Platform | dataflowgroup.com |
| When to start | Immediately after completing internship |
Critical Warning: The Four Possible Outcomes
Positive: All documents verified. You may proceed to exam booking.
Discrepancy: A mismatch is found (e.g., name spelling or date error). This pauses the application for months.
Unable to Verify (UTV): The source institution (Azerbaijan Medical University or home council) fails to respond despite multiple attempts. This is treated similarly to a Negative report and requires a contact proof letter.
Negative: Evidence of forged or altered documents is discovered. This is recorded across all GCC authorities, effectively banning the individual from the region.
Register on the respective portals (Sheryan for DHA or TAMM for DOH).

Most delays in UAE licensing — 6–12 months of lost time — happen because of missing documents in DataFlow or incorrect Prometric registration. Edubrink prevents this from the start.
